I mostly work in aluminum, well to be more precise, aluminum cans. I make two dimensional images on wood out of aluminum can pieces. As a painter might use oil, acrylic or watercolors, I use the can pieces for the colors I need. Each piece of aluminum is nailed to the wood. Hundreds of nails are used in a project. I sometimes incorporate other materials into my art, like sea glass, metal, shells and found objects. The two-dimensional projects are covered in epoxy. This gives them a high gloss and a smooth finish.
